LaPrade’s Marina is a full-service marina located on Lake Burton. Located just 2 hours northeast of Atlanta, we are nestled in the peaceful west end of Wildcat Creek Cove. LaPrade’s Marina offers boat storage and boat rentals on Lake Burton. Additionally, Watersports Central is located onsite and provides the most professional boat service on the lake. LaPrade’s Marina is a great place to relax and enjoy everything the lake has to offer.
For 99 years, LaPrade’s has been essential to the region. The location was first used as a home for the men who built the dam that created Lake Burton. It was then used as a fishing retreat with an open dining room. People would sit elbow to elbow while enjoying great meals together. Today, LaPrade’s Adirondack round log timber frame style is a key part of the Lake Burton experience.
Boating on Lake Burton
Lake Burton is the largest lake in the area spanning 2,775 acres with 62 miles of shoreline. The lake is also included in the listing of the top ten most pristine lakes in the United States. It remains full of clear, clean, cool water throughout the Georgia boating season. Lake Burton hosts families who swim, boat, and fish throughout the season. The lake also provides opportunities for relaxing cocktail cruises in Sunset Cove off the western shore of Burton Island.

LaPrade’s Marina is professionally owned and managed by Keel Marinas based in Atlanta, GA. LaPrade’s Marina has been an integral part of Lake Burton for the past 99 years and is dedicated to offering the best marina experience to all of its customers. Annual boat storage opportunities are available in both covered dry and covered wet slip storage. The marina has two ethanol free fuel docks, a launch ramp, a clean and well-maintained rental boat fleet, and boat sales and service from Watersports Central. The marina also boasts four restaurant options and a hand dipped ice cream parlor. The dining options include Lake Burton Grill, which is a full-service sit-down restaurant, Bowline Takeaway & Bar, Milton Park wood fired pizza, and smoked barbeque and wings from M.P. Que. Two miles north of LaPrade’s Marina on highway 197 is Lake Burton Fish Hatchery and Moccasin Creek State Park, both of which are must see attractions in the area.
